Bath Cricket Club Installs Life-Saving Defibrillator
Bath Cricket Club is proud to announce the installation of a new defibrillator at its ground on North Parade, a significant step towards not only ensuring the safety and well-being of its players, members, and visitors, but also providing another defibrillator in a city centre location should anyone fall unwell near to the club.
The defibrillator, which is now fully operational, is located just outside the Bath CC Indoor Cricket Centre. This life-saving device can be used in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, providing critical support until emergency services arrive. This is particularly important, as studies have shown that for every minute someone’s in cardiac arrest without receiving CPR and having a defibrillator used on them, their chance of survival decreases by 10%.
Bath CC Chairman, Scott Sandford, expressed his gratitude for the addition, adding, “The safety at our Club and in our community is a top priority. Having a defibrillator on-site means we are better prepared to manage emergencies and potentially save lives. With our car park used by thousands of shoppers and visitors to Bath each year, this defibrillator is also perfectly located just a short walk from the car park, and North Parade.”
