Bath CC 2nd XI v Twyford House CC 1st XI

Bath 2nd XI played hosts to Twyford House CC 1st XI on Saturday at North Parade.

After winning the toss and electing to bat to bat first, despite losing Henry Allen early fellow opener Josh Norgrove (41) and Kester Moseley (55) batted well to take Bath up to 103-2 before Norgrove was trapped in front. Bath’s middle order chipped in with a number of double figure scores before the lower order really fired through Spencer Gammon (56*) and Rhys Baker (26*) who put on 77 in an eighth wicket partnership that took Bath up to 261-7 of their 50 overs.

Bath’s opening bowlers made a great start, as Twyford’s response was hampered by the loss of both openers with only 14 on the board. But then Sai Kollareddy and skipper, Richard Trotman built a 139 run partnership before Kollareddy was bowled by Sam Barnes (2-38) for 71. Trotman then continued to bat effectively with the middle and lower order to take his side past Bath’s total in the 48th over to win by 4 wickets, as he recorded an excellent undefeated century.
