Bath CC 2nd XI v Bedminster CC 2nd XI

Bath 2nd XI played hosts to Bedminster CC 2nd XI at North Parade on Saturday.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bath lost Josh Norgrove (8) and Campbell McKegg (13) early to leave the home side 24-2. This became 53-3 when Kester Moseley (19) was bowled. The Bath innings then entered a period when combined contributions from Harry Allen (35), Henry Allen (22), and Charlie Rustell (25) moved the score forward but at a low run rate. Although skipper Will Arney boosted this run rate with a quick 20, Bath were eventually bowled out for an under par 168 in the 44th over of their innings.

Bedminster’s reply stuttered as they found themselves 44-2, but an innings of 82 from ex professional cricketer, Steve Snell and 30 not out from skipper, Joseph Shean took Bedminster to a five wicket win in the 35th over. Pick of the Bath bowlers was Campbell McKegg (3-34).
