Bath CC 1st XI v Bridgwater CC 1st XI
Bath 1st XI travelled to The Parks, Bridgwater for their top of the table clash against Bridgwater CC 1stXI on Saturday.
After Bridgwater won the toss and elected to bat, the home side opening pair of James Regan and Joseph Eckland proved it was the right decision as they amassed a huge 269 opening partnership, before Eckland went for 119. Regan went soon after for an excellent 151, and with a number of Bridgwater batters chipping in, the home side went up to a very commanding 381-6 from their 50 overs.
Bath’s reply stuttered as openers Campbell McKegg (4) and Ben Church (0) went early. Although Harry Ellison (40), Ben Wells (29) and Tim Rouse (25) all made solid starts, Bath continued to lose regular wickets and were eventually bowled out for 155 in the 33rd over. Despite losing this match, Bath remain top of Premier One with a lead of just five points to Bridgwater.
